Our 5 Day Galapagos Islands Travel Tour is a brief but complete itinerary through the Galapagos Islands. It has a comprehensive travel plan with the perfect duration for family vacations or for individual travelers.

You will travel to three of the Galapagos Islands: Santa Cruz, Isabela plus a Navigable Island (Bartolomé, Seymour, Santa Fe or Plazas).

Activities include swimming with sea lions, diving with sharks and sea turtles in Isabela, getting close to the giant tortoises in their natural habitat in Santa Cruz.

Explore the most impressive landscapes of the Archipelago while accompanied by a bilingual naturalist guide and stay at the hotel class you choose.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Baltra - Tranfer to Santa Cruz Island
Day 2: Full Day Navigable Tour to ONE of the following Islands
Day 3: Santa Cruz Island: Charles Darwin Station - Transfer to Isabela Island / Flamingos Lagoon
Day 4: Isabela Island: Siera Negra & Chico Volcano - Concha Perla
Day 5: Transfer-out to Baltra Airpot

Arrival from Quito or Guayaquil. At the airport in Baltra, you will meet up with your English speaking guide who will assist you in the transfer to Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz Island). Here we you will enjoy lunch and after a short rest move on to visit the Highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Here you will have the wonderful chance to see giant tortoises in their natural habitat.

Accommodations in the hotel class of your choice

Depending on the dates and/or navigable site available, pick-up from the hotel will be early on the morning (either 5 or 8 AM) to take you to the small vessel at the embarkation point (either Puerto Ayora dock or Itabaca Channel) for a unique close-up with wildlife and endemic vegetation. The destination can be either Santa Fe, South Plazas, North Seymour OR Bartolomé. The activities will include hiking, snorkeling, swimming and breathtaking sightseeing. After land and sea excursions, we will return back to the hotel in Santa Cruz where you can relax and later on have dinner at the restaurant specified by the guide. Overnight in Santa Cruz.

After breakfast we will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, where we will have the great opportunity to see a large variety of Giant Galápagos tortoises as representatives to the most important islands on the archipelago. Afterwards, we will take the public speedboat to Isabela (14:00), which lasts approximately 2 ½ hours. We will arrive to Isabela Island, and after a brief rest at the hotel we will head to the Flamingo Lagoon, which is the largest coastal lagoon found in the Galapagos and is one of the main reproductive sites for the majority of flamingos. Early in the morning after breakfast, we will have a full day tour of the Sierra Negra Volcano. This volcano is located 13 miles from Puerto Villamil and is the world’s second largest volcanic crater, measuring 6 miles in diameter and 300 feet deep. We will hike the crater and enjoy the view of the beach below before continuing on to Volcan Chico, a still active volcano which warms the surrounding ground. (Box lunch will be provided). In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel and later we will have the opportunity to go snorkeling in Concha Perla. Overnight in Isabela Island.

Early in the morning (06:00 am), we will take the public speedboat from Isabela to Puerto Ayora, where the guide will be waiting for you to take you will eat breakfast. AAfter breakfast, we will travel to Baltra Airport. On the way out, we will stop by “The Twins” (a.k.a. “The Gemelos”), which are crater-like formations naturally built from the collapse of the earth and lava flows. The tour will end upon the arrival to the airport where you will catch your plane to either Quito or Guayaquil.
